ASK FREDD · LEGAL & PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

How information is handled when you explore Ask Fredd, use the guided chat, join the waitlist, or create an account.

Last updated September 22, 2026.

Scope of this policy

This policy addresses the Ask Fredd public website, its waitlist, and the customer accounts you can create on it. An Ask Fredd account lets you sign in to this website; it is not an investment account, and creating one does not authorize trading. This policy does not describe an active advisory account or replace any privacy notices that may apply to future advisory or brokerage services. Third-party websites have their own privacy policies.

Information collected

Neither the waitlist nor account sign-up asks for a Social Security number, payment card, account balance, brokerage password, or other account credentials. Please do not provide these details in chat or email.

How information is used

Waitlist details are used to record your interest and contact you about availability for your selected program. Account details are used to create and hold your account, to confirm that the email address you gave belongs to you, to sign you in, and to let you set a new password if you forget it. Inquiry details are used to respond to your message. Technical information supports website delivery, security, and abuse prevention.

The current waitlist form does not open an investment account, process a payment, or send your details to Interactive Brokers to create an account. Creating an Ask Fredd account does none of those things either. Joining the waitlist does not enroll you in automated marketing calls or text messages, and creating an account does not add you to the waitlist or to launch updates.

Guided chat and interactive tools

The website’s guided chat runs in your browser using prepared responses. Messages are not sent to a chat service or saved by the Ask Fredd chat feature. They remain in the current page session and clear when you reload it or reset the chat.

Program-finder answers and calculator inputs are processed in your browser. They are not submitted to Ask Fredd by those tools. The separate waitlist sends the contact details and program selection you submit.

Customer accounts

When you create an account, the email address and password you enter are used to open it with the authentication service described below. The account is not usable until you confirm your email address: Ask Fredd sends you a message titled “Confirm your email — Ask Fredd” containing a single-use link back to this website, and sign-in is refused until that link is followed. If the confirmation message cannot be sent, the part-created account and its record are removed, so the address is free to try again.

If you ask to reset your password, Ask Fredd sends a message titled “Reset your password — Ask Fredd” containing a single-use link. The page that takes your request shows the same response whether or not an account exists for the address you entered, so it does not reveal which addresses are registered. Both the confirmation and reset links expire after a limited time and stop working once used; anyone holding one can use it until then, so treat them as you would a password. Ask Fredd never sends your password by email and cannot read it.

These are the only two messages the account pages send you. Confirming your email address, signing in, or resetting your password does not join you to the waitlist or to launch updates.

Service providers and disclosures

Website hosting, database, authentication, security, and email providers process information needed to provide those services. This version of the website is designed for hosting on Vercel. Waitlist records and the record linking your account to your email address are stored in a Supabase database, and accounts and passwords are held by Supabase’s authentication service. Waitlist notifications and the two account messages described above are delivered through Resend. The landing page and the account pages load fonts from Google Fonts; those requests expose technical information such as your IP address to Google.

Information may also need to be disclosed to comply with applicable law or a lawful request, address fraud or security issues, or protect legal rights. The current website does not include advertising pixels or a mechanism that sells waitlist entries to advertisers.

Cookies and browser storage

The Ask Fredd website code does not set advertising or analytics cookies or store your chat in local browser storage. The account pages do not use local browser storage either. Hosting, security, and third-party services may apply their own technical measures. Your browser provides controls for cookies and other site data; restricting them may affect website functions.

The current website code does not change its behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal. Its guided chat and calculator do not track your browsing across other websites.

When you sign in to your account, the website sets one essential session cookie so it can tell it is still you as you move between pages. It holds the sign-in tokens issued by the authentication service, is marked so that page scripts cannot read it, is sent only over a secure connection, and lasts up to thirty days unless you sign out, which clears it and ends the session. The website checks the session with the authentication service on each request rather than trusting the cookie on its own. No other cookie is set for your account, and the cookie is not used to track you across other websites.

The private admin dashboard uses an essential, secure session cookie after sign-in. The cookie expires after eight hours; signing out or changing the admin password revokes access.

Retention and security

Waitlist information and account records are stored in a hosted database; neither is exposed through a public list, and the database is configured so that a web browser cannot read or write these records directly. Website safeguards include validation of submissions, limits on repeated attempts, and restricted access to stored records. Your password is held by the authentication service rather than by this website. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Waitlist entries and accounts remain stored until removed. The website does not currently offer a way to delete your own account from your account page. To request removal of a waitlist entry or an account, email info@askfredd.ai. Removal may be subject to applicable recordkeeping obligations, and copies in provider backups may remain under those providers’ retention practices.

Your choices and requests

You can choose not to join the waitlist and not to create an account; the rest of the website works without either. If you have an account, you can sign out at any time to end the session on that device, and you can change your password through the reset link. To request access to or correction of your information, ask for deletion of a waitlist entry or an account, or stop launch communications, email info@askfredd.ai, preferably from the address used to sign up or to create the account. We may need to verify that a request relates to your information. Applicable privacy rights and any exceptions depend on your location and the law that applies.

The website, waitlist, and accounts are intended for adults. If you believe a child has submitted personal information or created an account, contact us so the information can be reviewed for removal.

Policy updates and contact

Changes to this policy will be posted here with a revised date. Information practices for future advisory services will be described before those services are provided. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@askfredd.ai.
