Registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training, and it does not mean that a regulator endorses Ask Fredd. The website is currently an educational program preview and waitlist; it does not open investment accounts.

Investment and options risks

Investing involves risk, including loss of the amounts you contribute. ETFs and managed portfolios can decline in value. Dollar-cost averaging, diversification, and rebalancing do not guarantee a profit or prevent loss. Rebalancing can result in trading costs and taxes.

The website’s guided chat uses prepared responses and is not the proposed Fredd Coach position-coaching service. It cannot view your accounts or place trades. Future AI-based guidance can contain errors or omissions and does not eliminate investment risk. A trader’s experience does not guarantee the accuracy of an automated system or future results.

Fredd is an illustrated brand mascot representing the digital experience, not a human adviser. His quotes and product screens are illustrative, not testimonials, actual account results, or recommendations to execute a trade.

Fee calculator

Starts from $0. Each month, your contribution is added and the membership fee is deducted from the account. Each month’s fee depends on the balance at the end of the prior month: $1 when that balance is under $5,000, and $5 when it is $5,000 or more. The calculator counts only your contributions, with no investment gains or losses, so in a real account the $5 fee could start sooner or later. Fees are not billed separately to a card. ETF expenses are not included.

Custody and Interactive Brokers

Interactive Brokers is identified as the intended brokerage custodian. Ask Fredd’s proposed role is to provide investment advisory services and technology; brokerage custody and account services would be provided separately under the custodian’s agreements.

Account approval and options permissions are determined by Interactive Brokers. Its name and logo do not imply an endorsement of Ask Fredd. Custody arrangements and account protection do not protect against market losses. Joining this website’s waitlist does not create an Interactive Brokers account.

Program terms and fees

Fredd Start has no minimum and no required monthly contribution; you choose how much to contribute. Fredd Start is $1 a month while your account is under $5,000, and $5 a month when it is $5,000 or more. Membership includes Learn with Fredd. The membership fee is separate from your investment contribution. ETF expenses and other costs may apply. The Fredd Managed account minimum is $100,000. Ask Fredd may waive account minimums at its discretion. Program eligibility, final fee schedules, additional costs, and advisory terms must be reviewed in the applicable agreements before enrollment.

Fredd Coach is described as guidance for clients who make their own trading decisions. Fredd Managed is described as discretionary, robo-only advice with no human adviser. Website descriptions do not replace signed service agreements.

Fredd Direct is $29.99 per month, with no minimum. It includes Fredd Coach’s trading tools, except coaching on your positions: Trade Builder, Earnings Edge, Follow the Whales, the stock and ETF scanners, the trade desk and Orders, Paper Trader with 15-minute delayed quotes, and the Learning Academy, plus live sync of your Interactive Brokers account. Fredd Direct is self-directed. It gives no advice on your positions; you choose and place your own trades. Ask Fredd does not recommend, select, or monitor these positions. Commissions and fees charged by Interactive Brokers are separate. Ask Fredd’s learning and research tools are educational and are not investment advice.
